When the Sacred Breaks Upon You

When the Sacred breaks upon you,
completely out of context
with the present moment
and takes you in with utter surprise,
as unexpected as snow
floating upwards from the ground
to the clouds,
                         It is a gift.

It is an authentic moment—
                         An undeniably valid experience.

Anecdotal though it may be
to an observer,
it Is Reality to the experiencer,
and beyond mere belief or faith
or wishful thinking.
It cannot be self-created
or even imagined.

It is of another Realm
                         Altogether.
