Sri Sri visiting Pakistan and History of Art of Living in Pakistan
Sri Sri Ravishankar is making his second trip to Pakistan today via the Attari border. Amongst other things, on this 3 day visit, he will also be innaugurating an Art of Living center in Islamabad.
It sounds interesting and often difficult as to how an Indian spiritual organization could have such a following in Pakistan, but it has happened through the hard work of all the volunteers there. In that, they have spread an important legacy of spiritual practices in places one would have thought it could never go again.
In the past 7-8 years, more than 100,000 people have gone through the course and benefitted from it.
Although, Sri Sri or Art of living didn’t personally resonate with me because perhaps I was looking for something totally different (and found it), I still admire and would like to acknowledge the hard working volunteer force that the organization has built up. The future of Spiritual work will be taken up only on the volunteer basis and AOL has shown one beautiful way to do it.
Here is a video that shares the history of Art of Living in Pakistan.
