It was August of 1947, when Dina nath took his family and ran to save his life. And when he stopped at his friend's place, despite his assurances, he had to take permission to get his own glass from his wife. That "permission" given to a dead body of a Hindu man in Shaheen Bagh brought back those memories of my Grandpa and Mom's experience.
