Management Guru C K Prahalad passes away
The man who saw fortune at the bottom of the pyramid dies Coimbatore Krishnarao Prahalad (August 8, 1941 – April 17, 2010) died on Friday in San Diego after a brief illness. He was 69. He is survived by his wife Gayatri and two children, Murali Krishna and Deepa.
Internationally renowned eminent thought leader, renowned management thinker and a distinguished professor, Prahalad was one of the top 10 management thinkers and was well known for his book The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid. It is this theory that many corporations are following in global emerging markets. He has consulted with the top management of many of the world’s foremost companies. His research specializes in corporate strategy and the role and value added of top management in large, diversified, multinational corporations.
