Lying posture makes you creative!
Does posture help in problem solving or thinking differently? BS, you would say… right? Well, a new study says (Prelim albeit) that lying down significantly helped the subjects in solving anagrams and thinking creatively. Ostensibly, it had to do with brain chemistry and the production of noradrenaline while standing up.
No wonder, I used to have my best creative moments in my childhood and youth lying down. Half of the time when I used to have any issues that needed to be thought out, I used to go and lie down on the bed. I thought it helped me focus.. but that was probably because I used to cut out the rest of the stuff by simply lying down.
Anyways, so if you are in search of that next ad – look at the couch in your room. You might get the next award…
