Insightful newsletter of Drishtikone: Issue #239 - The REAL Game
Mia Khalifa, Rihanna and Greta Thunberg were a sideshow. The game is of something else. And, no one in India seems to be focused on the REAL game.

“I am incapable of a profound remark on the workings of Destiny. It seems to get up early and go to bed very late, and it acts most generously toward the people who nudge it off the road whenever they meet it.” ― Beryl Markham, West with the Night
We are looking for our greatness to be acknowledged. They are willing to play the victim. They attack, kill, rape and destroy while we defend. We shout revenge, they write articles of victimhood.
What are we missing?
Can our vanity rest for some time? Can our incessant need for acknowledgement not be kept in abeyance for some? Can we not play the game the way it is played?
Why are we hell-bent on playing ludo on a rugby field? Will the dice help score the goal?
Wake up.
What is happening is going to define the next century or even the next millennia, so let us dwell on it today as well.
Starting with the tweets by the three ladies and more importantly Greta Thunberg’s inadvertent freudian slip.
Interestingly, one of the Twitter users went into the document that Greta shared and saw the document being updated in real-time! The lady Marina Patterson has since deleted her Twitter account.
The document also shows the voices that are aligned to the whole propaganda drama and will amplify the tweets. The plan was discussed on January 23rd IST and plans were already in place for January 26th and thereafter.
This is interesting because it shows whom the masterminds found to be important for their game.
This investigative video by String goes further. It shows where the threads that start with Rihana go to.
Mai Lassiter.
One thing that String did not share in his excellent video is that Mai Lassiter is the wife of James Lassiter, who is a business partner of Will Smith, the actor. Their connections and network are quite extensive.
She was not just the fundraiser for Obama but also for Kamala Harris.
This is important. But it is the side show.
the REAL game - India’s “Incubator Babies”?
Yesterday, when everyone was focused on Rihanna, Mia Khalifa and Greta Thunberg and “who was behind them,” we started discussing “Internet as a Human Right.” What a boring perspective on such a sexy day. Right? No wonder, we had one of the lowest open rates in the entire week for our newsletter!
But just like the bikini, what the media shows is interesting but not critical. What it hides is the real thing. So, please do read yesterday’s newsletter and review the context of what we have to discuss today. Here is the link - Issue #238 - Internet as Human Right
Today the US State Department bared the real game plan if someone was actually watching closely.
It was in 2016 that United Nations declared Internet to be a Human Right. An addition was made to the Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
“Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.” Section 32 adds “The promotion, protection and enjoyment of human rights on the Internet” and another 15 recommendations that cover the rights of those who work in and rely on internet access. It also applies to women, girls, and those heavily impacted by the digital divide. (Source)
There was opposition to these changes, but that did not matter. The changes were institutionalized despite the opposition.
There were several countries opposed to the amendments, including Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, India and South Africa. These countries contested language that condemned any measures to disrupt internet access or hinder the sharing of information online. However, this language was crucial to the document’s implementation and was approved in spite of opposition. (Source)
The resolution may not be binding on the UN members. Yet. But it is a tool that will be used to bring down any government or even attack any nation who is deemed to be “violating the human rights.”
Like we discussed in our newsletter yesterday, the Indians who are up in arms against Rihanna, Mia Khalifa and Greta Thunberg are completely missing the real point of the whole discussion.
They are the sideshow. They are the the Nayirah (read Issue #224 - The Tech Armageddon to know who she was) in this case. They are completely inconsequential in real terms. These women are basically being used to build a “Saddam type” case against India and Modi.
If you had any doubt, you should look at the statement from the US State Department.
They have urged a “dialog” when the Indian government has had several rounds of dialogues already. What happened in Delhi on January 26th was an insurrection. Far worse than what happened at the Capitol. However, there is no mention of that.
The central message - Internet is a Human Right!
You see the difference is that those who ran roughshod over that protest in Washington DC and those who bore the extreme and deadly violence in Delhi were poles apart in terms of how they used the tools of propaganda and ecosystem. The former have created an ecosystem that is very deep and extensive. Their mechanisms were very well planned and executed.
Modi government’s approach to propaganda is like Dilip Doshi facing Jeff Thomson’s bodyline and getting hit on his head and making it his virtue.
The battle for India, and for Modi, will be won and lost in the networks and the airwaves.
The fight for India is now not just limited to elections anymore. That part has already been mastered by Modi. The fight now is for his existence itself, as of India.
Until now the fight was with those who had been bought. The puppets. He won handsomely.
Now, the fight - to take the line from Vivek Agnihotri’s “The Tashkent Files” - is with the puppeteers. They are mad for their wards have been proven to be impotent.
It does not matter that Modi is the winner of one of the biggest mandate in the history of Indian elections, won by him in the largest election in the entire Human history. What matters is what the propaganda will make of him.
If you think that won’t matter, then please go out and talk to folks in your own alumni network - who studied with you and lived similar lives as you - and see how many actually believe that Modi is a dictator and is harming people. So many well meaning Indians enjoy writing eloquent poetry eulogizing the “farmers” who “have been protesting in Delhi.” No, not people who may be living in Assam. But Delhi-ites! Those whose lives would have been messed up so badly for the last so many months are ready to believe those who have held their lives on ransom. Those who have held Delhi-ites hostage are the ones that so many Delhi-ites are still ready to believe!
We are in an age of mass Stockholm syndrome.
The mind which let off Ghori 17 times cannot succeed anymore. India needs a Krishna. Compassionate when with Sudama, but ruthless in battle. One who was the Guru of all the Gurus did not blink for a moment before he asked Yudhishter to enable the killing of his Guru.
The weapons of the new era are not the violent ones necessarily. But one which will enslave the world in the hands of a few without them lifting a finger.
In book after book during the British time, every British sociologist has wondered - “How could 100,000 British civil servants and soldiers enslave a nation of 300 million?”
Through laws, structures and mechanisms that could be remote controlled. Once a judiciary was in place that used the British laws and British law certifications, then you didn’t need a whole army to enforce British rules on an entire state. All you had to do was - have the British judge. One judge. And, he would ensure that millions in that state lived by British norms and rules. You were told that only British law was fair and just. Every other judicial system that India (or any other colony) ever had was savagery.
What Rihanna, Mia Khalifa and Greta Thunberg did was pave the way for the message from the UN State Department.
For what?
This. The Game plan towards a Neo-colonial world.
Here is how we see the whole game.
Until now, Internet was a mere resource. A resource that could be exploited and profited from. But the powers-that-be are moving to a different direction.
While many countries and corporations treat broadband as just another exploitable resource, experts have been making the case for years that internet access is better viewed as a fundamental utility—essential for free expression and a healthy democracy. A new study out of the UK takes the argument one step further, arguing that internet access is a basic human right that should be provided for free to those who can’t afford it. The new study, published this week in the Journal of Applied Philosophy, comes courtesy of Dr. Merten Reglitz, a lecturer in global ethics at the University of Birmingham. In it, Reglitz makes the case that internet access is an essential part of keeping those in power accountable. (Source)
When Internet becomes a Human Right. Even when it may not be enforceable by UN charter, it could be enforceable by using the right “Incubator Babies” propaganda mechanisms. At that point, coming into the walls of Internet will be a necessity. A must. You cannot escape it.
That is all that is needed.
The rest can be accomplished by the technologies and surveillance mechanisms that the world is progressing towards.
So, please do what is needed to put down the stupidity and the brazen-ness of those three women, but focus on what is the REAL thing. The real issue at hand.

We had started this newsletter just because we thought there was a lot to share that we come across daily and we found a great app in Revue. This newsletter was started there. We later moved to Substack. Last week Twitter acquired Revue. (Source) And, last week, New York times shared that even Facebook was creating a platform of its own. (Source)
Newsletters are the next frontier.
Remember, your voice creates narratives. Narratives create generational stories. Stories of many generations create civilizational ethos.
