India’s Relations with USA & China / Dr Subramanian Swamy

Dr Swamy explains the peculiarities of USA and China, and how Indian foreign policy has not understood this properly. This has handicapped India in its dealings with both these countries. Americans are deal oriented and contract abiding and expect the other side to be forthright as well. Indian foreign policy experts are too focused on cultivating “good atmosphere”. Chinese are emotional people and India did not play its role well in dealing with them. This has spoiled relations between India and China. He feels that India’s importance can be leveraged for better foreign policy.
