Eaarth: the new planet we live on now is no longer your grandparent’s Earth anymore
The Environmental Activist, Bill McKibben, discusses his take on the state of environment and planet’s survivability. With the use and search for fossil fuels and their impact on the planet, we are looking at a doomsday sooner than later. If we do not stop this, we will never be able to come back. With shrinking polar ice caps, rising temperatures, vanishing forests, acidic oceans and superstorms now becoming the new normal; are we now living on a NEW planet?
Yes, says Bill. It is no longer your Grandfather’s planet “Earth”. So, might as well call it differently. Eaarth, he calls it now.
