Drive for making Nepal a Hindu state: Thapa
Chairman of Rastriya Prajantra Party Nepal Kamal Thapa said the recently held conference in Mumbai has decided to launch a coordinated campaign to reestablish Nepal as a Hindu state.
Talking to reporters at Tribhuvan International Airport Tuesday upon his return after attending the gathering, he said the conference expressed concern over sinister plans being carried out in Nepal to wipe out the identity of a Hindu state.
People attending the conference, including many Nepali people living in several parts of India, concluded to use “all power” to make Nepal again a Hindu country, he said.
“When Nepal was the Hindu state, her glory had spread internationally and took the pride of Nepali people to a new height, but now that is not happening,” he said, reiterating that the new constitution should have a provision of Hindu state.
