‘Clincher’ Email from Karti Chidambaram’s Chartered Accountant on ‘Kickbacks’

In what Republic TV says is a clincher email, which gives the money trail for bribes paid to a company linked to Karti Chidambaram.  It is an email by Chartered Accountant sharing the offshore bank account, where the moneys were received.  This email discusses the amount received in the accounts of Geben Trading Limited, a shell company in Greece.

The report says that the money was received in a UBS account.

Apparently, as per the news report, 6 companies benefited from FIPB approval granted by the UPA government.  These companies, Republic TV says, received kickbacks.  Invoices were raised for ostensibly Karti’s company as consultancy charges.

The Republic TV news reports suggest that $12 million pay off was received by Karti Chidambaram’s firm.  The moneys were sent as “consultancy charges”.
