China-Pakistan boundary in Kashmir is Illegal says India
“Government’s position is that this so-called ‘Boundary Agreement’ (between China and Pakistan) is illegal and invalid. This has been reiterated to the Chinese side in the on-going discussions on the Boundary Question,” Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur said while replying to a question.
She said under “the so-called China-Pakistan ‘Boundary Agreement’ of 1963, Pakistan illegally ceded 5,180 kms of Indian territory in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir to China.”
The Minister added that Pakistan was in “illegal and forcible occupation of approx. 78,000 sq. kms of Indian territory in Jammu and Kashmir since 1948 while 38,000 sq.kms was under the occupation of China”.
Now, Ms Kaur, can you please share this information with the world media as well? Can we make this an issue? China reiterates its ascendancy over Arunachal Pradesh and prevents UN investment for humanitarian purposes there. Do our elected representatives have the guts to raise similar ruckus over this area?
