Manna Dey’s “Chalat Musafir” was the quintessential bonfire song for so many decades.  Specially when one was in mood for some really rustic stuff.  This is one song that has the potential to upstage that song from Teesri Kasam.  It is from the movie “Billu Barber” (SRK’s movie) and what a riot this song is!

UP’s dialects and songs have a charm of their own – which can’t be delivered by Punjabi or Hindi or any other language.  These other languages have their own charm.. and in their own “domain” these are tops.. but there is a niche – rustic, central Indian charm that has its own fans.. I am certainly one of them!  What say?
