Air Pollution and Polar Bears

This is a pretty “in-your-face” ad on Global Warming.  I guess the world cares about the Urgent more than it cares for the Important.  And as for Global Warming.. since it is in the future, people are not really too bothered.

Such ads which hit one hard through graphic and terrible images make a strong point.  What it is basically saying is how One Flight of our affect the lives of a Polar Bear.  The imagery and the facts are very compelling.

What I wonder is do people really care for Polar Bears – living “somewhere” in the Arctic?  Or would it have been better to use an imagery which was closer to home?
